Last Monday (2/8), my Logos started indexing. By the end of the day, it read "250 hours remaining". I called and was told that it took a long time. I had to leave the computer on; not do anything with it; plug out the Internet for the next few days. By Thursday, it read "1000 hours remaining." (Note: the numbers were going UP not down!) By Friday, I had to abort the indexing.
Today, I started the program again and had to index. It was showing "10 hours remaining" a while ago. I am sure that it will go up to "xxxx hours REMAINING" If I have to leave the computer on for 1000 hours before it is indexed, it will be 6 weeks before it is fully indexed. Can anybody do without a computer for 6 weeks?
I called last Thursday to tell them of this problem. Somebody called back 5 hours later. He expected me to be at my computer when he called - after 5 hours! He couldn't help me because I was not at my computer - like as if I don't have a life.
In the past few months, whenever I called for technical support, I had to wait an average of 30 minutes. If Logos were a commercial company, it would have gone out of business. You would not think of holding 30 minutes if you call your local utilities or telephone company. When I called Logos to buy or upgrade, I get connected to the sales department immediately. But when I needed support, there is a wait of an average of 30 minutes.
Logos is a great software. But I hesitate to recommend this to anybody.
