Review ratings within Logos don't match the Logos Web Site?

Why is it when I mouse over a book in my Logos Library and see the review ratings, it never seems to match the Review ratings of the same book on the Logos Website?

The Reviews in my Logos Library always seem to be lower than the Logos Web site reviews..

first there is a difference between reviews (text) and ratings (stars) on the website.

second, the ratings in the Logos library have nothing to do with each of those - you give them yourself, and Logos collects those EDIT from all users that rate library books and have "send feedback" not turned off, then computes the average rating /EDIT and feeds back the "community" library rating to us.

The problem is that (probably even before we had tags in the library) many users adopted their own system for such library ratings, which included giving one or two stars as an indicator of "unrated, but not new" (so new resources in the library can differentiated from updated resources: only really new ones are without rating) or for some people "unrated but probably not in my study focus" (from before there was hiding of multiple books, or from people who don't like hiding). Such schemes will affect the community rating.

The only "review ratings" I know about within one's "Logos Library" are user set... in other words, it is set by YOU. The ratings on the website are created by ALL reviewers. I know that there are community tags, popular highlights, etc, but if there are communal review ratings within the Logos app, I am unaware of it. A quick look didn't reveal any to me. If you are seeing them, can you tell me where to look?

I think Rodney is referring to the grey rating stars which give the community rating in the library (unless one rates oneself, then seeing golden stars):

Yes Mick that is what I was talking about..

Thanks guys for all your input on this..

BUT Most if not all of mine are not all gray..90% of them I would say have 3 stars gold.. A few have 4 and 4 1/2 gold..

I have not rated anything in my Logos.
