Why isn't Judas included in the highlight? Okay I figured it out ... Logos has coded "Judas" and "not Iscariot" separately as "Judas (son of James)" But why the double coding for subject? It doesn't double for agent.
Maybe because are two separate clauses with the second clarifying the first
whereas there is just a single identification of the agent
bump this
Hi MJ.
There are two hits in the single verse (Jn 14.22) due to the clause embedding. "not Iscariot" is analyzed as a verbless clause within the subject. You've got the clause where the subject occurs; within the subject the embedded clause also fires as a hit (because "Judas [who is] not Iscariot" is analyzed as the whole name, I believe).
