Faithlife overview?
Is there a video or article that give a full Faithlife Groups overview and how to implement it? All I "seem" to be able to find are bits and pieces that seem to assume some basic understanding I do not have about the entire feature. Any help would be most useful - I need to get up to speed on this. Thanks!

FL groups have always been a mystery wrapped in an enigma. Trying to get a feel for the whole thing is like being an astronomer from a cave.
If there is a resource like you say, I'm not aware of it.

Two Things:
1. Head to https://faithlife.com/faithlife-starters/activity and ask any and all FL Group questions.
2. FL help videos can be found at https://faithlife.com/help

No disrespect intended, but that's another forum. That's like more astronomy from a cave, but now there are vines covering the entrance.
They say there is over a billion dollars in diamonds and other precious stones, rings, earrings, bracelets, dislodged stones, etc., lying on the ground in the world. But if you can't find them, they are just more dirt.
I suspect there are a lot of gems hidden in the FLG areas. But they tend to stay hidden. That's too bad.
I've found some very useful groups over the years, but membership and participation stays very low. I bet that's part of the hidden-gem issue.

That is what it mainly is yes, but when I created the group that isn't what it is for. The actual purpose of the group is exactly what is being asked. How do you implement. In other words, we will create sample data upon request to show off different features and how it can be used in a church or group.Doc B said:David Taylor Jr said:No disrespect intended, but that's another forum. Now, THAT is a BRILLIANT idea.
It may very well be one of the best FL Group ideas I've heard. It ought to be promoted. I'm going to join it shortly.
If what I was lamenting about above wasn't true, I bet the group would have thousands of members.
How many other great-idea groups like this one are hidden in those caves, languishing, because we can't find them?

Hey everyone, sorry for the silence. We're working on getting some messaging together to highlight some of the new features we've put together for the site.
In the meantime, here's a demo group I created for a tech talk to show off some of Faithlife's features:

Dustin, I like that a video can be inserted into a post (e.g. Dustin's demo page), but when I paste a link to a video, how do I get rid of the URL so that it is not seen?

There isn't UI for this at the moment, however there is a pretty easy way to do this! You can just type the URL you want in the address bar, like this:
http://faithlife.com/share?url=http://ref.ly/Jn3.16
Then the post link will be whatever that URL is, plus your own custom text.
We're working on making the post editor better so you don't have to resort to tricks like this [:)]
