How can I save the recorded sermons from Proclaim. We dont have a churchgroup on faithlife, or podcasts, or anything else, I want to save the files for our own use and records.
You can save the audio (not the slides) using the "Download" button on the Sermon Recording screen.
Don't drink the cool-aid!
Thank you very much.
Just some feedback for Proclaim. it would be great if you could download it as a MP3 file. Currenly it downloads as .wav, which takes up more space, and we need as mp3 for our website uploads.
I may be reading too much into this, but it sounds like you have an existing process for sharing recordings and you are looking to integrate Proclaim sermon recordings into this.
The wav file is the original audio file (without the applied trims, soundbite, or slide transitions). The thought is you would use the wav file with your current audio processing software. For this reason it is output pre-compression to keep the audio quality higher. Most of the applications will convert to mp3 (there are free applications that do the same).
When you publish the audio it converts it to an mp3, applies trims, and keeps the slide transitions. These audio files, along with the slide transitions, can be added to your website using a widget on SoundFaith. You will also get an iTunes podcast feed that you can activate with Apple.
We are still putting together examples of all this but here is an overview

We're interested in hearing about your current process and how we can make things easily work for you.
It is now possible to download the MP3 from soundfaith.com. Record and edit in Proclaim, publish to soundfaith, then grab a copy from there for your records.
