Logos Screensaver

Hi,

I'd enjoy having a logos screensaver which looked like a 3d tour of a library with all the books from my purchases in it. There would also be quotations lifted from the most popular social highlights that show up. As well as images which are most often visual copied by all users.

The camera would walk around the library as in an FPS game and scan the shelf before resting on a book. The book would fly forward off the shelf and open to show the quote before the camera moved on.

This would aid discovery of resources I have but don't use too much. By all means there could be a recommended for you shelf which shows up sometimes too! And the odd easter-egg character also perusing the shelf - eg. Calvin would be sat there reading the Bible...

As a bonus the library shelves would be sorted by type and then subject and author like a real library!

Daydream over.

John

Thought I would suggest this and I see that you already have. My suggestion isn't as elaborate as yours though. I would just like a way to see book covers float around or smeothing. A virutal library would make it even nicer, like you said.

I often forget what books I even have. This semester I didnt realize one of our textbooks I have had from a library package purchase.

Or, maybe even a way to just have all book cover images in jpg format in one folder, and then we could use our own screensaver program to play a slideshow from that folder.

I use Alaska landscapes at present, but love to switch around, this is a worthy idea.

This needs to be tweeked slightly:

The book would fly forward off the shelf [into the hands of Harry Potter who then audibly reads you a few pages from the book (voiced by real Daniel Radcliffe) but before he can read you more Thanos appears, snaps, and the book turns to dust. One of the Avengers appears, hands Daniel Radcliffe another book, he reads a portion, snap etc.]

This screensaver could make Faithlife $300 million opening weekend.

No, but seriously. . . who still uses a screen saver anymore? And why?
