anybody find this useful? Is this a commentary, meaning, it would show up as a commentary in a passage guide? I would most likely use primarily when I look up passages from Acts, not just reading it like a textbook.
Is it worth it?
I guess it is not a commentary, but more like the book https://www.logos.com/product/49615/the-book-of-acts-in-the-setting-of-hellenistic-history which I recently received. It explains various background related discussions, and Logos can connect the Bible references and commentary texts via logos links.
WordSearch is offering this on a special for $100. I would ask Logos to match that price. But is it worth it? I am not a fulltime academic, but I do spend a lot of money on books, mostly commentaries, because they have easy access to Bible material. I am hoping to find someone enthusiastically recommending this book.

Faithlife doesn't "price match." With that said, the price isn't very much different if THIS is what you are talking about. A phone call to FL sales might just get you that deal. [;)]
If you are interested in the topic, you might want to also consider this bundle: https://www.logos.com/product/46197/logos-6-bible-backgrounds-bundle-xl
I'm still not sure I want to get it. I've spared no expense to get the best books I can for what I need. This book I am hesitant about getting.
Larry,
This collection of monographs deals primarily with issues related to the background of Acts. What you will not find is a commentary on the texts of Acts. What I find useful about this collection is the way the volumes situate Acts in the Greco-Roman world. It deals with issues like:
For years there has been a debate about the historicity of Acts, this collection of essays tries to tackle some of these issues, and they do so beautifully.
I hope this gives a little more info on this collection. It is well worth the investment.

Are there many Biblical references? For the foreseeable future, most of my studies with Logos will be with Biblical texts and sources that would help to understand them. So in studying a passage, will I find this resource opened in my passage guide?
I never used Factbook I just know that for now I will get the most use out of books that have a lot of Scripture, because that would be where I would access them from.
So, is this bundle not dynamic pricing? I own a ton of them but nothing shows already purchased.
