I am just curious, with the College Press NIV Commentary being on sale in November, I was looking at my upgrade price to Diamond (which includes this set), and I was wondering if the sale price on the commentary price drives down the price for the base package. I don't remember what my price was before the commentary set went on sale, but it does show the sale price under the column "Value if sold separately." Can anyone confirm that an individual item that goes on sale also makes the base package price fall as well?
As far as big ticket items, the upgrade to Diamond would get me that, the Charles Spurgeon collection, and the Encyclopedia of Religion and Ethics for just under $500. I do own most other commentary sets, so I don't know if this would really be useful. I've never purchased any of the Spurgeon works because I always assumed I would get them at once in a base package.
1. Does anyone use the College Press NIV Commentary set, and how do you like it?
2. Same question for the Encyclopedia of Religion and Ethics.
