Both my IPhone and Ipad return no hits when searching my Bible off-line. Can someone please attempt to replicate this issue? I have the latest versions of Bible installed. Thank you.
This functionality is not available offline for iOS or Android. Searches are performed by Faithlife servers rather than locally. I think the explanation that has been given before is that this prevents the need to index on mobile devices.
Hi Matthew,
This feature was available until recently. The same problem was experienced in the past but was fixed. A simple Bible search should not require servers. Thanks for the feedback. [:)]
This sounds like a dumb question, but have you downloaded the Bible resource(s) you are searching? I am not able to replicate this issue.
Hey Matthew,
Not to be disagreeable, but offline search has been available for years on both iOS and Android apps. However, the Guides are not available offline (is that what you meant?).

Perhaps another question...
Have you done a restore from backup recently?

Yes, I'll delete the ESV and try again.
Did not find you to be disagreeable at the least. No, I really did mean what I said, and I apparently put my foot in my mouth. I had it in my head that Internet was required for searches just as it was for the guides. Consequently, it has been a LONG time (years) since I have even tried running a search on mobile without an Internet connection. Maybe things changed and I missed the memo? Thank you for bringing me into the modern era and preventing me from spreading misinformation!
