Logos 6 won't open

Hi...Logos was working yesterday but will not open today. I've tried opening the app with the Command button down, but that just pulls up Logos in finder. Here is the log.

The log files do not show anything that helps me understand what might be going on. Without useful log files I'm not sure how to offer help.

Do you know of anything in your system that changed since Logos last worked?

Thanks for the reply. I can't think of what has changed. I did register for the new Hermeneia Matthew commentary via my smart phone.

You might first try to repair it. I don't know how that's done in a Mac. On a PC it's through the Uninstall Control Panel tool.

If you do decide to reinstall, you can save time downloading by following the directions on the page Quick Installation onto multiple computers at wiki.logos.com. I would suggest Method 3, letting indexing reoccur, just in case there is a problem with your existing index (again, a good log file would have informed us about that).

Welcome Barry. Sorry that you are having problems.

I've tried opening the app with the Command button down, but that just pulls up Logos in finder.

When opening from the Dock, first click the Dock icon, the immediately depress the Cmd key. As you have discovered depressing the Cmd key first locates the file in the Finder.

Here is the log.

Logging does not seem to be enabled, although the archive name seems to indicate that you are using the Logos Logging Utility. Open the Utility and enable logging, then attempt to restart Logos—either with or without the Cmd key.

Let us know how that works.

My utility has logging enabled. I've uploaded another archive. Holding down Command immediately after opening logos didn't work for me either.

Mark, I tried repairing permissions using disk utility, but that didn't seem to work. I may try repairing my disk later today, and if that doesn't work, I'll try reinstalling Logos.

"repairing" logos isn't something I have ever heard needing for Mac. I am not near my computer to try and read your logs... There was a problem which caused a number of Mac users to need to reinstall the app... Go to applications and trash logos. Don't worry, you won't lose your downloadled resources, etc. Then download the newest engine (see my signature line). If manually reinstalling doesn't fix it, you likely have something else corrupted which will require someone reading your logs.
