Bug: Mac Verbum 6.7: Uploaded Personal Books don't go to other computers

I built a revision to a personal book on Windows/Verbum 6.7, uploaded it - hours later, and trying update resources, it did not show up on the Mac Verbum 6.7 computer. I restarted that version of Verbum, and it still did not update. I did "update resources" again and no update. I ended up having to manually scan the compiled file to get it to work - something must have broken in the upload/sync process.

How big is the executable - use resource Information to find its filename (*.lbspbb) and locate it in your Resources folder. Otherwise, start Logos with CTRL key held (CMD key in Mac), try the PB upload and then upload the Logos log.

The file was only 10MB, and it has already been moved to the other computers through SCAN of the compiled file.

It won't download the same version, so make sure logging is enabled on both computers, then
- close one Logos/Verbum on one computer
- on the other change the PB source significantly, build it and retry the upload
- after 10 min or so, open Logos on the other computer
- if the PB is not downloaded then upload the compresssed log files folder from both computers

Hi Dave, I did what you said:
close Verbum on Mac
on Verbum/Windows change the PB source significantly, build it and retry the upload
after 15 min, open Logos on the Mac/VerbumNothing came across, I waited about 15-20 minutes.
Attached are logs - Windows (builder and uploader) and Mac (receiver who never got it)

There is another regression type bug that has crept in, it used to be when an update to a PB came down from an upload it shows in the Home Page "x resources updated" drop down. When I just scanned this latest update and got the update, I noticed the only way to tell it was updated was to look at the date in the library pane - it id not show on the home page.

The Mac log states that PBB:0cbb7405f1da4468a1750c6471638104 is up to date. Is that the one you updated & uploaded in Windows? Does its content match what you changed in Windows?
If different, hide that book on Mac and then unhide it. See if the latest version is downloaded.

No that's not it, that one is a brand new PB that I built about 30 minutes before I exited everything, deleted logs, and started your process. That one by the way showed up on the Mac fine.
The offending PB file is 777af6166a464ebeba21a6a85ae284c2.lbspbb, if that helps find a message...

The Windows log states

This needs some Faithlife input - contact Tech Support

I get around it by using SCAN. Don't the support people scan the forums to check on bug reports to be investigated? MY day situation really doesn't facilitate contacting support by phone, I thought that's what the forums helped supplement.

You could wait for Faithlife to respond here, as I can't resolve the issue! That could be another day or so.

Thanks Dave for all your help on this! I'll check back and see if FL has chimed in on this one. I am happy to send the PB for testing, it's just a collection of blog posts that are good for searching, nothing proprietary.

So they are blog posts that YOU wrote? [;)]

No - blog posts that I copied/pasted that have good scriptural reflections...

Re-reading my post, I didn't do a good job. I was trying to gently point out that you don't own the content, and therefore don't have the right to distribute it in any way (unless you have been granted permission to do so).
I have done the same thing (turn blog posts into personal books). It is a great idea, but it should remain personal. I think, however, sharing it with FL for testing would be appropriate.

Yes, I do not distribute it I would only offer it privately to FL for debugging/testing.
I hope they reply to this, we'll see.

Sorry for the delay, Don. I've verified PB upload is working properly on my account, and I've reached out to Adam on the server-side to see if there's anything wrong with your account specifically. In the meantime, if you wouldn't mind sending the document to testing@faithlife.com I can test the upload process to see if there's something wrong with that book in particular.

Done - emailed! Thanks Dylan, hope you find something!

I've had problems uploading PBs today as well. Built about 5 books all under 2mb and none will upload.
