Logos 6 won't start-ios X El Capitan 10.11.1

Logos 6 will not open.

Double click icon on desktop and it will not open. Attempt to open in launchpad, still nothing. Will downloading the logoslogging.zip report anything if I can't even get the application to open? Can someone please help? Thank you.

Welcome to the forums, Dow. Sorry to hear you are having troubles.

This seems to a common problem as of late, and the Logos developers would really love to get logs to help track down this issue. So, yes, enable and post your logs here. See my signature line if you need the link.

After you do, I would try downloading a fresh copy of the Logos app and replacing the Logos app that is in your Applications folder. You can download it from here: https://www.logos.com/install

customer service IS really good, however, there is a good chance that this is the same bug in the Mac version that many users have experienced over the past couple months. Downloading and installing the update manually will be quicker for most users. If that fix doesn't work, either logs or a call will be required.

Hi Dow,

I'm sorry you're experiencing this. Our last records of what version of Logos you are running indicates you last opened Logos 6.5. Opening from the Dock and Launchpad are virtually the same. Try opening from the Applications folder. If the app still does not open please follow the steps in this article https://www.logos.com/support/logos6/mac/crash. Most of the time either solution 1 or solution 2 resolves the problem, but not in all cases.

This fix worked for me recently. Hope you have same success.
