Will there be a Black Friday sale this year? I've got a 20$ credit burning a hole in my pocket, but want to wait if there will be one. And of course, I usually end up spending more than that
I received the following email from Vyrso about Black Friday so I assume Logos will have a sale as well.

There's been a Logos BF for the past 5 years if I'm not. The best one IMHO was last year when I bought the Understanding the Bible OT and NT complete set for $99.00 bucks! It was the best deal in years of Logos BF. I hope this year they surprise us with one of a kind deal like they did last year. I'm hoping they put out some great deals and some 12 days of Logos deals too. Maybe release a Restoration Movement Base Package, just like they have released other base packages (Orthodox being the most recent - though they are extremely weak, commentaries wise in my opinion).
So keep your fingers crossed!

Thanks for the question. I highly recommend going to https://www.logos.com/black-friday and signing up for the email list to receive notifications about Black Friday specials when the sale starts.
Chris duMond,
I suggest Logos do the Black Friday sales really early this year. Otherwise Logos-users would've spent their money somewhere else first. (Amazon, Best Buy & Target are opening Thursday 4pm-ish this year. Not only that, most online stores have started selling their products from Tuesday instead)
So, I say, follow the trend and start the sale early before our pocket runs dry by Friday.

[Y] I like your thinking.
I too am waiting on a Restoration base package, but I would be ok if it came out with 7, that way I could get it and all the new features/datasets at once. My ideal holiday sale would be topical bundles 50% off. It had been a while, but Faithlife had offered that deal in the past.
I like this. But apparently, signing up last year stuck.
Being overzealous of getting freebies, I have encountered that message multiple times. Each time I find it kind of...what? Condescending? No. Mocking? No. I am not sure, but kind of a negative, off-putting, annoying message. I have quite a broad (though sometimes dry) sense of humor, but this misses it. Each time I almost said something, but didn't want to write anything negative on the forums. Well, this time I did.
Maybe it could say something like:
"Congratulations, you are already subscribed to this list. Please be assured that you will continue to enjoy this offer and any future associated benefits." Or something like that.

I agree. This doesn't fit with our values and I believe we can do better. I'm going to have my team change it. Thanks for saying something.

Interesting . . . I've always found it humorous and positive . . . different strokes I suppose.
Now getting a 404 page with fake looking sheep when following a link from a logos.com site is a different story.

Chris, I appreciate and respect FL and you for your response. Thanks.
Then maybe different messages for different denominations might do the trick... [:D]
Are you serious?!? I think it's great. I read this thread and followed the link to sign up. I got the above message for the first time and was on my way to post a picture of it with props for the humor.
I'll tell you what. If you change it, then I will be offended! How's that for a conundrum?

It is interesting that the line between offense and humor is often in the eye of the beholder.

Agreed, but I would need someone to explain how the above is at all offensive. If you are inclined to find offense wherever you look, then it might be offensive, but others might take it as a pat on the back from Logos to its ever vigilant customers. I took it as the lighthearted joke it was meant to be.

I should clarify Joseph that I'm with you as I didn't see it as offensive at all either.
Oh no, that's the way I took it. I can't believe that anyone is truly offended, which is why I don't think they should change it. I think it adds a very human element to the website.
oh me... its to the point that one person says they are offended and people bend over backwards to accommodate that one person...
if you accommodate him then you are putting yourself in the position to have to accommodate everyone...
which leads to this -> I'm offended that the works of Jonathan Edwards cost more than my wife first car. please ask you team to sell all 26 volumes to me for $20 on black friday!
I've always been fine with it too. Perhaps that says something about my sense of humor.
I'm going to have my team change it.
Why? Has FL become so PC that one complaint requires a rework of the website? I have not been offended, rather amused.
[Y] [:D]
I found it annoying. Not so much the message, but the fact that the web page doesn't automatically detect I am signed up already. It should tell me I am already signed up rather than encouraging me to sign up and then saying "Ha ha, got you". I am logged in to the Logos site already and so Logos know who I am..
Good grief! What have I done? Complaint? Offended? Lol. I really don't care one way or the other. Yes there is some humor. Yes I found it a mildly annoying, a bit surprising for Logos--but in a humorous way. Don't change it just for me! If so many folks like it and are offended at the idea of changing it, I am happy enough to back you all up, with a smile.
For me, it's not an offensive message, but I do think FL can come up with a better one. Apparently FL thinks so too. [:)]
