signing in

I often work offline because internet service is unavailable, and leave Logos 6 on without closing the application. So when I have access to the internet and need to update, I have to close L6 (wait for the syncing to take place) then restart the application (wait another 30-60 seconds). Would it not be a better idea just to have a system menu to simply sign-in? Maybe even as a command in the command bar?

I do not see a button for sync in the right corner. can you send me a screenshot?
I run Logos Bible Software 6.7 build 6.7.0.0036 on OSX 10.11.1

It is the faint spinning wheel just to the left of layouts.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I guess, you can only see it when you are signed in. So, back to my original post

What happens if you type the command "sync now" into the Command box when you are connected to the Internet?

Graham,
with all due respect, did you try your solution?
I am familiar with "sync now" as well as "update resources" and "update now" commands.
all of them give me "updating is unavailable when working in OFFLINE mode" - the mode I am forced to use when I do not have access to the internet. Currently to go from offline mode to fully signed in mode one has to close the application and restart. This is a very awkward and inelegant solution.
I was hoping for a simple sign in command, such as "si" - Logos already keeps my login credentials in the program, so it should be effortless.

No I did not - I wasn't in a position to do so at the time but thought it might work.
Apologies if it was unhelpful
