This work just crossed 100% at $60 but I bid much lower.
Could someone explain why they think this resource is worth $60.
I want to know too.
Because the publisher is Harvard. I don't get it either why it's crossing at $60 but that's all I can come up with.
I've been a huge proponent of the Loeb CP collections, but like Bruce, my bid is much lower on this one. It'll probably be the first Loeb collection that I've not grabbed.
I'd like to have it, but $60 is more than I can justify. I'm in at $35.
If I had to guess...
I'm in at $30
I could only hazard a guess that a History of Medicine student stumbled across the web page and told a host of their friends who thought that $60 was a fantastic price compared to what they would otherwise have to pay for these titles. For most of us that seems to be way too much. But if you have any interest at all in this, then bid what you are prepared to pay. It will only go lower with more bidders. $60 is not the only option on this one before closing IF you can pass on this one if it goes too high for you.
If you want to influence the price and have NOT yet placed a bid, then bid NOW at what you are willing to pay.
Waiting until the last minute to decide whether you are in or out will only keep the price higher than it needs to be.
I am in at $20....
