i just downloaded logos 4 and i did not see anything about libronix digital library. however when i installed some other books, it wanted to download libronix....could someone help me?
could someone help me?
David, could you provide a few more details?
ie. Did you have Libronix 3 (L3) running on you machine before installing Logo 4 (L4)?
There might be a couple of reasons to have both installed:
when i installed some other books
1. If any of your future purchases come on L3 CD's. their licenses might need to be synchronized in L3 so that L4 can recognize them for downloading.
2. If you wish to import notes, highlighting etc once the present "beta" version "graduates."
Some have taken L3 off of their systems.
Please just share some more information about what you have had/do have installed etc.
Thanks
During the transition going on from Logos 3 (Libronix) to Logos 4 some of the resources we might purchase from Logos could come only in the old Logos 3 (Libronix format). This means that it is handy to have Logos 3 installed on our computers because we can easily install the new resource in Logos 3, synchronize our licenses in Logos 3, and Logos 4 will eventually figure out we need those resources in Logos 4 and download them into our Logos 4 installation.
I assume you were asked to install Logos 3 for this reason.
If you have never had Logos 3 there is no reason to have to learn how to use it. Any resource that cannot be loaded into Logos 4 at this point can be activated by calling Logos Customer Service. Then Logos 4 will discover your new licenses and download them.
There is information about these issues in the Logos wiki which you might check for further information. Click on the word Wili at the top of this web page to go there.
