Run the Android Bible App on a Chromebook

I have a Chromebook Pixel 2. I had heard that you could run certain Android apps on chromebooks. I thought, wouldn't it be great if the Bible app worked. Recently I discovered how to do it by installing the ARC (Android Runtime for Chrome) extension. I decided to create a how to so that you can try it out, too.

Once installed, the app behaves just like the Android App. You can sign in to your account, download resources, highlight, add notes, run searches, etc.

Kevin has already said that if you choose to do this, Faithlife will not officially support it. If you have any issues, reach out and I will try to help. I cannot guarantee it will work for you and I can't be responsible for data loss or other stuff happening as a result of you trying this.

As I said, I got this running on a Chromebook Pixel 2 LS. I don't know if it will work on other chromebooks or if this will run within a Chrome browser under any other OS (Windows, OSX or LInux).

    Bill,

Thank you for mentioning this but I need to reiterate again that this scenario is untested and unsupported by Faithlife.

I appreciate the info Bill. I was able to get it running in my Chromebook after some initial hiccups (it must be installed locally as opposed to an external USB drive). Works fine now.
