Prophecy Explorer

It would be interesting to see a "Prophecy Explorer" interactive resource that would go through the various prophecies of the Bible (such as those in Daniel and Revelation), include links to resources where we can gain more interpretative information on them, as well as categorize them into different categories (fulfilled and not yet fulfilled as well as base those categories on the different interpretative methods of the books, etc), which ones dealt with Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, etc.
Thanks!

Have you seen the Prophecy Knowledge Handbook by John F. Walvoord. He discussed all the prophecies in the Bible and their fulfillment. He has an appendix that list the prophecies and their fulfillments.

Is there sufficient consensus to make this feasible? I ask only because I've seen a number of very odd but amusing interpretations ... and don't have sufficient interest to research how far they are from a consensus.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I have not, and seems I don't have it yet. Might just have to pick that one up. Thanks!

A lot of the "odd" and "amusing" interpretations would probably not be included in such a dataset. Mainly center it around "major" interpretative areas. For example, Revelation could be broken down into preterite, idealist, futurist, etc., as well as pre-mil, a-mil, etc. It wouldn't necessarily tag every interpretative measure out there, but give people an overview of the various prophecies throughout Scripture, if they have been fulfilled or not, where they're located in Scripture, and a brief survey of the major interpretive areas. Those wanting more in-depth could open commentaries, etc.

Ah, with this clarification it seems doable and interesting.

Have you seen the Book Revelation 4 views by Steve Gregg? He goes through the book of Revelation and gives the various interpretations side by side. https://www.logos.com/product/2271/revelation-four-views

I would think that these books could add something to it:
https://vyrso.com/product/21012/100-prophecies-fulfilled-by-jesus
https://vyrso.com/product/21019/understanding-the-book-of-revelation

https://vyrso.com/product/21010/feasts-and-holidays-of-bible
https://vyrso.com/product/37863/christ-in-the-old-testament
https://vyrso.com/product/20960/the-christmas-story
https://vyrso.com/product/54771/statue-in-the-book-of-daniel
https://vyrso.com/product/50012/palm-sunday-to-easter
I would think that some of these short books and pamphlet's could be used to build a nice database and a good starting place for a prophecy explorer.
You could categorize them around such topics as Prophecies fulfilled:
in the Christmas story
from Palm Sunday to Easter
Christ in the Old Testament
Etc... These are just some suggestions that I hope would be helpful. I personally think that a tool like this would be very nice for any bible student.

I do have the Revelation Four Views book. I just need to read it. It sure looks good and I had forgotten I had that in my library. Thanks for the reminder.
Interesting about the Rose books as well. I've been wanting some of those, and good to know one can get them on Vyrso.
True, all of those resources would help contribute to such a tool.

Another Great work on Bible Prophecy and their fulfillments is The Encyclopedia of Biblical Prophecy by J. Barton Payne http://www.amazon.com/Encyclopedia-Biblical-Prophecy-Scriptural-Predictions/dp/0801070511 Unfortunately this book is not in Logos. In the Appendix of this book he categorized prophecies fulfilled and unfilled by Nations such as Babylon, Edom, ect.

Another more recent work that is a running commentary on Bible Prophecy is:
Exploring Bible Prophecy from Genesis to Revelation: Clarifying the Meaning of Every Prophetic Passage (Tim LaHaye Prophecy Library) http://www.amazon.com/Exploring-Bible-Prophecy-Genesis-Revelation/dp/0736948031
This book is not in Logos.0 -
We're considering creating an interactive like this, though we haven't yet decided or prioritized it.
Thanks for all the suggestions: please keep them coming! (hopefully each in their own thread [:)])

Sounds good! As I encounter things in my Bible study that would make a good interactive, I'm sure post it!

The Synopsis of the Old Testament (part of a base package?) has a "Parallels within the Prophets" section. This could be a starting point. But it would not cover parallels between OT and NT prophesies like Daniel to Revelation.
