Can anyone comment on the usefulness of this series? How is it laid out? What are its strengths? What are its weaknesses? With Vyrso we can't even preview the table of contents.
I too was wondering about the value of this series so I looked up a number of them on Amazon to get a feel for them. Today I picked up the entire set because I liked what I saw, especially at such a great price.
What I like the most about these is that they are very simple and sometimes simple is what you want. I liked the way they had very succinct summaries of the key elements in the book. I think that they could also be useful if someone is leading a simple Bible Study with them.
The contents page for each Bible Book is simply comprised of a list of the Bible chapters but below is a snippet of a sample from Acts about 10 sermons in the book. I saw many such nuggets in my brief overview of several of them.
What do you mean the entire OT is on sale? I only see the NT set going for 0.99c per volum. OT volumes show $4.95 per volum. I got the entire NT. Looks useful for devotional studies with small groups

thank you for the heads up I wanted to get the Old Testament notes last time but couldn't because I missed out on the sale. Now I got most of the Old Testament I think I'm just missing the major prophets. Thank you FL and those who posted the sale!

This is unlikely to bear fruit. The prices seem to be the same/similar at Amazon, B&N and (even![:O]) Kobo, which usually means this is a publisher sale. Most Vyrso bargains/freebies originate with the publisher, not Vyrso.

That isn't a good idea in Vyrso... The Vyrso store is very basic. If they "bundle" things together, they must remove the single resources. What does that mean? If you own all of the discounted books but 1, you have to buy ALL of them in the bundle to get the one you don't have. There isn't dynamic pricing in the Vyrso store.

I'll admit I didn't look too closely (as I wasn't interested in buying any) but the prices at Amazon, Kobo and B&N (Nook) are pretty much the same for all the titles available at Vyrso, with Kobo charging 50 cents more (or something like that) for the $4.99 ones.

For the last two months, I have almost faithfully tracked this deal daily. As of today, some of the Shepherd's Notes are back on at 99 cents. Managed to pick up 5 of the missing 8. [Y] [:D]

When I use the link posted a few posts ago it shows that I don't own: Manner's and Customs & CS Lewis Miracles... BUT... if I search Vyrso for Shepherd Notes it also shows me: CS Lewis's Mere Christianity, Bonhoeffer's Cost of Discipleship, and The writings of Justin Martyr. So that search string above doesn't produce those 3 for me and my guess is: Shepherd's Notes isn't in their title

I fell for it also! The email is a bit misleading, but when you read the details it states "get 24 of the Shepherd's Notes ebooks...". So, that is only a portion of the titles available in the Shepherd's Notes series.
The NT Shepherd's Notes are now on for 99 cents! Except for I,II,III John which is still $4.99.
