Any license issues in moving devices?

Really sorry if this has been asked before, but I've just bought a Macbook in a Black Friday deal (arriving tomorrow!) to replace my 4 year old (and outdated at the time) Windows Laptop.

I'm assuming that I can just do a normal install and log in to get my account fully set up on the Mac, but I'm just wondering if there's any process to de-register my Windows device - do I just uninstall it, or is there more to it than that?

I think I've heard that the license limit is broad enough that I shouldn't need to worry about it unless something clearly suspicious is going on, and this will be my only hardware refresh (excluding mobile devices) for a few years at least so it shouldn't be a worry but I want to be sure.

    No, you will be fine.

    Assuming they are for your own use you can run the software on as many machines as you like

    I think Graham already answered your question. If you are getting rid of the device, you will want to uninstall, else there is no reason (Logos wise) to do so. Feel free to keep it on. 

    If you ARE getting rid of the device, you shouldn't worry just about uninstalling Logos, but rather you should do a wipe and fresh install of the OS (deleting everything) to make sure your personal data is removed.

    Thanks to you both for your help. I will be totally wiping and reformatting if we do decide to pass it on to anyone outside of the family. We'll probably pass it on to my mother in law though, in which case I might just do a bit of house-keeping, depending on how she wants it set up.
