Margin size setting

This suggestion has probably been made before, but whether or not that is the case, it remains a need. I like the pagination of resource texts when using the 1 column setting as opposed to "none". Unfortunately, the 1 column setting does not allow for line scrolling but only for page turning (which I do not like). 

I wonder if there are others like me, who would like the broader margins while retaining the ability to scroll by lines, not pages. And if so, whether there could be an option in settings to set the margins either in terms of fixed options (e.g., narrow, normal, large) or in terms of size in inches (1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 1, etc.). I probably would prefer the first.
