no resources in logos 4 for MAC

(lets try to check your spelling...!)

i just installed logos 4 for mac, and i have no resources in it. it
took about 7 hours to download, so it was downloading my books, but i
can't see them in my library when i search for anything. no bibles or
books or anything. the news page comes up on the home page, but when i
click the book icon, i get to the library page and nothing is in there.
does anyone know what i should do?

I just spoke to Cassidy on the phone:

I verified that she is signed in with the proper username and password. She owns Scholar's Gold and some other resources.

Her My Library menu shows no resources despite the very large download.

As I'm running windows only and have no experience on the Mac version, I couldn't help beyond that.

Hope somebody can help give her some ideas of where to go from here.

She's just gonna install Libronix 1 in the meantime

yup! and it looks like all my books came in. so, just for anyone else reading - this is what may happen with logos 4 for mac (i installed alpha 13a) - it will download your resources for many hours (mine took about 7) and then sometime later (i don't know what triggered it) it will start downloading "updates" which takes another 7 hours. after that, i had all my books. thanks jacob and jack!

ok this info was help, BUT what is Alpha 13a and how can i do what cassidy did?

A 13a is the latest version of Logos 4 for Mac. You can download it from the release notes at the top of the Logos 4 Mac forum. Install the latest version and report back if the issue continues. A 1 is SO last decade [H]

ok i've done that... but i have a question once i download software logos 4 do i use that to do my research now instead of my old Libronix icon that held the previous version?

You can use either one. You now have two applications. The previous libronix application that you have always used will work as before. The new Logos 4 is a new product that is still unstable and does not ahve all of its intended functionality (that's what the alpha designation means). But it is the future of Logos and what most Windows-based Logos users are working with. I recommend that you work with version 4 to learn it and take advantage of some of its improvements over Libronix. But keep Libronix installed so that you can use it if the alpha version of Logos4 gets unstable or buggy or doesn't yet have the functionality that you are looking for.
