I'm really just now beginning to learn and use the notes and clipping features on Logos. (I would love to see a video that goes beyond the 'how to' of using notes/clippings and see one of how some of you actually use them in your everyday studies.)
I've noticed that L4 doesn't distinguish note names from clipping names. For example, I created a note file and named it "God, sovereignty of." If I understand the purpose of 'notes' correctly, my thought was that as I came across Scripture that dealt with the sovereignty of God I would add them to the note file.
I also wanted to create a clipping file for the same subject. This way I could add quotes from Bible dictionaries, etc. I tried to name the clipping file just as I did the note file - "God, sovereignty of." It won't let me; it instead adds a '2' to the title.
In the grand scheme of things, this isn't a big deal - I can either leave it or work around it by changing one of the titles. I do have a couple of questions, though.
1. Shouldn't L4 be able to distinguish between note filenames and clipping filenames?
2. For you note/clipping pros, does it sound like I'm using notes and clippings in the way they're intended to be used? I'm open to suggestions, etc.
Thanks for looking!
