Active Stylus with Anti-Glare screens and Screen Protectors on a Touch Screen

Can anyone comment on whether an active stylus can be used without any problem in the following situations?

An IPS touch display that shipped with an anti-glare/matte finish.
A standard touch IPS display that has had an anti-glare/matte finish screen protector applied.

Also, wondering if anyone can comment as to whether the general responsiveness of a standard touch IPS display to basic finger touch is diminished if an anti-glare/matte finish screen protector has been applied.

I'm looking at a few things. One is the newest version of the Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga 14 inch. It comes with an active stylus and a glossy screen. On that one I would be looking at adding an anti-glare matte finish screen protector. I'm also considering a non Yoga version of the Thinkpad 14 inch. That one comes with an anti-glare screen but no stylus. Lastly, I'm considering a few Dells in the same size range, some with an anti-glare screen and some with a glossy screen. Again, I'd be looking to add an anti-glare screen protector if going with one of the Dell units with a glossy screen.

Did your Nexus 7 come with an anti-glare screen or did you add an anti-glare screen protector?

Also wondering what you're using as your touch "device". Your Finger(s)? A passive stylus? An active stylus? Some combination of these?

I would guess the Yoga with the anti-glare coating is not a touch screen at all (hence why it likely doesn't ship with a stylus) so I would verify this before purchasing if you want to be able to use a stylus with it (active or passive). To my knowledge, all touch screens are 'glossy' due to the requirements that touchscreens have.
