There's a coupon code on Facebook for 78% off. My understanding is that I'm not supposed to link to it?
I see no kind of coupon code for 78% off that you have mentioned Cynthia Tucker
Ah I see. I'm looking at it now and it looks like it's actually a Facebook ad Logos created rather than something actually on their page. Not sure if there's a way to get to it unless it pops up in your newsfeed.
I lost the ad after I clicked away to check Logos' Facebook page. If I see it again, I'll share it on my Facebook page and you can view it there.
Thank you Cynthia Tucker I probably will buy it.
I found it again and shared it in the Logos Resales FB group.
Thanks so much Cynthia Tucker I just bought it. What a deal! The Bible Speaks New Testament Commentary at 78% off. That is like $4.00 a volume !!!!!!
For anyone who is interested, here is the link - https://www.facebook.com/groups/548061461941184/
You're very welcome![:D] It's a great deal!

Sorry but it's not a great deal. The regular price used to be $99.95 like forever and it would go on sale for $69.95. So, pretty much what they've done is pull a Zondervan on us...jack up the price and then give you a huge "discount." I'm glad I got it real cheap when I did an upgrade at the release of L6. I just feel bad for those who will have to pay $300 and change to buy it now when the discount is over. Maybe they should give the same discount for the Old Testament instead of the NT.
DAL
DAL,
You make a good point, but that does not mean it is not a good deal. I have not seen it lower than $69. I did not take advantage of previous sales and regretted it. Now to see it again for $69, I feel it is a good deal regardless of how the current price is stated.
I agree with John. Unless it shows up in a base package sometime in the future, this is probably as low as it will ever go. $3.18 per volume, if my math is right.
That is why I took advantage of it Matthew It is such a good deal.

Agreed. It you don't have it it is certainly worth more than $69.00. It will probably never be less expensive. Ignore all the pricing and discount verbiage and concentrate on the bottom line. It is inexpensive at this price.
It you don't have it it is certainly worth more than $69.00.
I agree with this. The entries by Stott are strong and Brown on Hebrews is definitely worth having.
It is easily worth $69 (in my opinion).
My issue is that publishers want to make a fool out of you by making you think it's a great sale when in really isn't, it's just the same old sale price; The only difference now is that the regular price has gone up almost four times. Why not keep things the way they were, it's almost like lying to people's face. If they truly want to run a brand-new sale that's actually a real sale why not offer the OT set at a lower price than the over priced tag they have now; then come and talk to me about a great sale.
Ps. I don't mean to come across as grouchy but it's the same old sale it's nothing new! If they really want us to get used to paying more for the New Testament set then they should throw in a sale on the Old Testament and I can assure you they will win more customers like that and hence make more profit. Instead they chose to introduce the Old Testament at a high prepub price and then jacked up the price some more. That doesn't seem right at all, but then again is busines, I guess. The more they can squeeze out of christians the better.
I snatched up this deal when it came. $69 for a complete NT Commentary set is not a bad deal. I'll wait to but the OT when I have the money. I may upgrade later to get the NAC set, but right now, I am happy with this deal.
DAL, it is as simple as this: the commentary is available for $69. If you do not have the resource and want it, then it is a good buy. If you do not want it, then don't buy it. How could they possibly be squeezing anything out of Christians? I don't think you are calling me a fool for buying it and suggesting it is a good buy... You are reading too much into it, and you are coming across as grouchy... It's Christmas time, it's a sale.
I would liken the situation to the WBC set. I am saddened that the price was raised as high as it now is, but for the sake of those who did not purchase it before the increase, I will be glad anytime the publisher temporarily puts it on sale to the previous price.
If they did indeed raise the price just to discount it, I think that's a bad way of doing things. Nevertheless, I didn't have this and now I do, at a good price. [:)]

Thanks Cynthia for posting about this deal. $69 is a good value to me regardless of what motivation the publisher may have with their "normal" pricing and discounting practices. I do not know enough about then to make any judgements about their motives. What I see is a good deal. This price is cheaper than the 2 other platforms I have access to and for a layperson like myself, this set seems pretty user friendly. Looking forward to doing some Bible study with this set. [:D]
