Breaking apart Notes File into smaller files

I've been a Logos user since the LLS days. And when Notes came out with Libronix 2 back in 2003, I started faithfully keeping all of my notes online.
Now, my Notes file is huge, and it's difficult for my iPad and iPhone to even load it. I've had to restart my various devices in order for the Notes file to work. And then it freezes after 15 minutes. I'm pretty convinced it's because of the size of the file given that it's happening on all my devices.
I've started using the "Resource-specific Note Document" format for my any new documents.
My question: is there any way to take my huge general Note file and break it up into Resource-specific notes so that my mobile devices will let me access the resources?
Thanks in advance.
best,
Dale

If you create a new Notes document, you can drag notes individually into another Notes document by clicking on the Note indicator (default is a yellow square) and dragging it into the second Notes file. It's a rather long-winded process, but it does work.

Let me add that, if there is a resource that has notes that make up the bulk of your large note document (for me it was my Bible), then leave those notes alone and rename the note document to the name that the Resource-Specific note would be (it uses the long title for the resource). That will save you some time.
