I could have said the Logos sucks, or I want my money back or even the new L4 is the Mark of the Beast, but what I will say is this:
A Gold Medal goes the Tommy B. at Logos! If you haven't experience the recent indexer crashes you're lucky but, for some of us it's been **** on earth. At one point I was ready to take the axe to it and go back to hard cover books. But there was light at the end of this technical tunnel.
After reading blog after blog, viewing forum after forums and essentially getting some decent but otherwise useless information that was way over my non-geek head, I decided to go straight to the proverbial horses-mouth. I called Logos.
Sure they were busy, umm I wonder why? I finally got a hold of my saviour (for those hard cores - please notice that is a small 'S'). Though he didn't have a Jewish sounding name, his name is TOMMY. After explaining my problem with the recent download index crashing, he simply "took over my computer." I watched in wonderment as he guided my trusting pointer to depths unknown. I didn't know I had hidden files or even logs files for that matter. He searched and with the aim of a geeky marksman (he's probably a marathon runner and obviously a great guy) he struck and he struck with such force that the enemy was vapourized.
And just as soon as he came into my life, he was gone. No fan fare, no "hey I'm great at what I do and I even like it too." No, vanished.
Now, it's clear sailing. L4 is back up and running and all thanks to Tball. YOU'RE THE MAN!! And if you're reading this and have some power to give him a increase in pay, send him on a two week vacation or even an 'adda boy' - Do it!
