Repetitive error message and crash

4331.LogosError.logTonight I keep getting an error message after I have used Logos for a short period of time. The error message is: "Logos Bible Software has stopped working A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. After this, the program is no longer usable. It has been a recurring error through my use tonight that has not occurred previously.

It appears that Logos is having trouble accessing the BITS service for downloads. This is a core component of Windows (that is required for Windows Update) so perhaps it was damaged recently.
Please try using this Microsoft tool to fix Windows Update problems: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/windows-update-troubleshooter

I ran the troubleshooter and no issue was found. I uninstalled a windows update KB3124200 that was done on 12/20/15 and have not had any issues yet. This would seem to indicate there may be an issue with Logos and something that was changed in the update. Please review as not installing subsequent updates is not a desirable solution.

The good news is that we've replaced this component in the next version of Logos 6, and this crash should be fixed.
The bad news is that the fix is only available in beta, not as a supported release. (I would not recommend installing the beta to get the fix, due to limited support being available for the beta during the Christmas holidays.)
For now, you should be able to work around the problem by setting "Use Internet" to "No" in Program Settings.
One final thing you could try is the repair tool in this Microsoft article (even though it doesn't say Windows 10, there's a chance it may help): https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/971058
