Multiple Crashes 6.9 Beta 1

My power went out and right back on, this happens frequently in the mountains of West Virginia. I turned on the computer and loaded the bible software again (which I have done in the past on multiple occasions) but today it crashed. When I loaded it again, it crashed again. This went on for about 5 times before I decided to report it.

One of your database files got corrupted.
Close Logos and delete C:\Users\Hamrick\AppData\Local\Logos\Data\fnto5noo.xj5\LibraryCatalog\catalog.db
Logos will rebuilt the file next time you restart the app. You'll see a "Preparing Your Library" message whilst it rebuilds the file.
Personally, I'd also run chkdsk to scan the disk for errors: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/guide-to-using-check-disk-in-windows-vista/

Hello Mark,
I rebooted and tried again and now everything is working. Thanks for your assistance, but something worked itself out and fixed the database. You are correct that it is "Preparing Your Library" while it fixes itself.

If Logos detects a corrupt database, it sometimes deletes it itself. I don't know why sometimes that happens and sometimes it doesn't. I'd still run a chkdsk overnight to be sure there's no damaged sectors, though.

Also, just a tip but I would suggest buying an UPS. I won't run a desktop without one, and you don't need to expensive one. But it will make sure things like this don't happen. And you don't need all that expensive of one.
