What resource would you get if you could only pick one?

I can purchase the Mobile Ed "Learn to Use Biblical Greek and Hebrew with Logos 6" for $149 or "Understanding the Bible Commentary" series for $175. Both sales end in a few days and I'm not sure which would be the better purchase.

Any recommendations?

It would be hard to recommend one between the two for you, but for me, it would be ""Learn to Use Biblical Greek and Hebrew with Logos 6" because I am very interested in learning the OL to a point that I can read the Hebrew and Greek text efficiently. I have plenty of commentaries, but few OL resources.

No recommendation, just the observation that the UTB Commentary sale is not at the set level, but on the multiple small commentaries. Thus if your budget is $175 and you decide for m.Ed, there are still $25 left and you can treat yourself to five of those commentaries.

I would have to go with the commentary. I think you would use them much, much more, thus making them much more practical for you. And if you prioritize the series, they would be helpful in your passage guide searches and in your bible study screens, and more. So they'd be leveraged much more.

And, to me, the LTUBG&H set was lacking, at least the Greek was. It was simply too impractical for the average user. The videos got carried away with labels and sub labels and sub-sub labels of verbs and other morph categories, and in doing so became useful to the academian who is majoring in Greek more than the Bible student who simply wants to enhance their understanding of the language to broaden their study of the Bible (which was the intended purpose). I think the series missed the mark and was a disappointment (unlike the original series that was done for Logos 4 - that series was AWESOME and very practical!). Just my humble opinion. Stick with the commentary. You'll get many more miles out of them.

I have a good collection of commentaries: EBC, NICOT, NICNT, Tyndale, Pillar, NIVAC, College Press NIV, WBC, EEC, Continental, Hermeneia and NAC.

I would go for the Mobile Ed course then. It will teach you to use the bible software with the original languages but not teach you the original languages.

It was directed at the OP. If he has a variety of quality commentaries, then the mobile ed may be the better investment.
