Resource Production: Lutheran Study Bible missing pages?

I was looking for the writeup on the types of cross-references xviii ff when I discovered that the study bible is gpes from page xiii to xx skipping everything between. This makes it mismatch a common resource for teaching how to use the Lutheran Study Bible.

I just did a quick look after reading your post and noticed that as well. However, in The Apocrypha: The Lutheran Edition: Text page xiv is missing. Not sure if there is actually any text missing as I don't have the paper edition of it.
Also, in The Apocrypha: The Lutheran Edition: Notes, xxiv is missing. Once again since I don't have the paper edition I'm not sure if actual text is missing.
There might be other pages missing in all three. Maybe someone from FL might look and reply.

Came across your post regarding missing pages int eh LSB, and since I have both the Logos and print version, I did a quick check. Page xiv is blank. From page xv to xvii contains the Preface to the English Standard Version which includes the following subheadings: The Bible; Translation Legacy; Translation Philosophy; Translation Style; The Translation of Specialised Terms; Textual Basis; Publishing Team; and To God's Honor and Praise. Page xvii to xix contains Features Adapted from the ESV Deluxe Reference Edition and includes information on the Section Headings; Center-Column Reference System; Using the ESV Cross-Reference System; Types of Cross-References; Footnotes; and Types of Footnotes. It seems the omitted pages are features which seem to be peculiar to the print version which contains the ESV bible text and so were not deemed necessary for the digital version. The LSB really should be labelled "LSB Study Bible Notes" as that is all it contains.

You are correct. It was the types of cross-references that I was looking for when I discovered the missing pages. But I believe Faithlife should indicate the omission of pages in the resource

Yes.
While it would also be informative to know the rationale behind the decision, I simply want to know if such editorial choices are made when producing e-book versions.

My suspicion is that it is also a matter of copyright ownership and avoiding additional negotiations.

Actually, I did a quick comparison with the LSB ESV print edition and the normal Logos digital edition. Page xiv is blank, and then pages xv-xvii are the Preface which is almost exactly verbatim, identical to what is found in the ESV Logos digital Preface to the English Standard Version. LSB missing pages xviii-xix Features Adapted From the ESV Deluxe Reference Edition, once again can be found verbatim, nearly identical to what is contained in the Logos ESV Explanation of Features which immediately follows the Logos Preface. So if you have the Logos ESV edition, the information which you are looking for will easily be found there.

I have the Print Edition (as well as the Logos one) and xxiv is a blank page in the Print Edition

Yes indeed. I've noticed my Read Plans sometimes do some "strange" things due to the omission of blank pages...
