I have a number 1 showing next to the sync icon. When I hover the pointer it says it is indexing but remains on 0.

Can you give more detail,
Did you just add resources to your library?
Without knowing the type of system you have depending on the speed it can take more time.
You could try to restart Logos and click the update icon.
I did add books. I am running on a macbook pro -
I have noticed this for over a week but thought maybe there was a problem with some of the recent updates.
I have restarted Logos and restarted the computer a couple of times.
Here is some more detail
Running OS X El Capitan 10.11.2
Logos Bible Software 6.8 SR-1 6.8.0.0059
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013)
Processor: 2.6 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory: 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Delete the folder /Users/charlesfombelle/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Data/n9jqnx1m.p0u/BibleIndex and restart Logos; which should resume indexing.
Thank you Dave for the expert assistance. Deleting the folder fixed the problem.
