Link won't open in Logos Verse of the Day e-mails

The tappable sentence: See the entire passage in Logos from your computer or phone - won't open the Logos Bible App Version: 4.6.5.     (Build  453) in Gmail on my primary device: 

Nexus 9 Tablet: '2015'

Android Version: 6.0.1

Build no. MMB29K

Chrome Version: 47.02526.83

Gmail Version: 5.9.109452737

Nor will it open the Logos app in the same Gmail on my phone. This same tappable sentence link does open on the phone's stock email app and will also open in my old Kindle's stock email app (but again, not in the Gmail apps).  

I was using this link quite often on my old Kindle which I replaced as it's android os was pretty much out of date and unsupported by some apps.

It's hoping there's some kinda fix for this issue, any ideas?
