Logos Sales Emails

I can only guess that Logos salespeople have email lists of customers, but not any information about who they are actually emailing. I've received numerous generic emails advertising upgrade specials to Logos 6 from them. The problem is, I already own Logos 6. It's a little annoying to constantly receive emails encouraging me to upgrade to a product I already own. Logos, If your going to email me like this, please at least make sure your offering to sell me something I don't already have.

All they're doing is advertising the last chance to take advantage of their 15% off to upgrade to an L6 package you may not have. Do you own all L6 Base Packages? I know I don't, that's why I'm getting the emails and I may actually take advantage of the final 2 L6 upgrades for me (Lutheran Gold and P/C Gold). Not to reflect on you only, but why the sensitivity on this issue. We all get "spam/marketing" emails from several companies, even ones we don't know and all we do is delete. Do you ever email them back or call them letting them know is annoying? Seems like everyone just gets annoyed with Faith Life and even create a thread to post their annoyance (like it's been done so many times in the past). Cut them some slack, after all, they're only a business runned by human beings. I betcha a betcha you don't get annoyed when you get a $20 dollar coupon or a special freebie. Remember, getting annoyed is a choice 😀 Happy New Year!

We give Christian organizations less slack, because they should be run (as one company says) "by a higher authority".
Never-the-less, you make a couple excellent points, which I wish to reiterate, because they are, I feel, important:
1. Email them.
I like to email the company first, then post, if necessary. Giving a chance to "fix" issues (real or imagined) is always the best way. It's when companies don't seem to take my issues seriously, or give any indication anything more than a "pat answer" that i come to public forums to get an answer. (I love using Twitter, it tends to get real responses).
2. I betcha you don't get annoyed when you get a $20 coupon or special freebie".
You know. I bet you're right. I definitely don't mind the freebies. lol. But, I do get annoyed with the sales emails and other ads. [+o(]

I get Logos reminders every time I press L in the address/search window. I'm grateful for the reminder how Logos has blessed my studies and reminds of the priority such work is to my life. [8-|]

The emails don't bother me in the least.

I don't believe its a case of sales people emailing a list of customers. There are just automated emails sent out to customers, most probably in batches to read like they are personalized but in reality are just a 'mail merge'. It would be nice in cases where I already owned a resource to not get an email telling me it's currently on sale but it's a first world problem and so one I so can handle with a simple delete. In reference to Logos 6 as another poster pointed out I don't own every Logos base package to the highest level and never will ( for instance I don't see myself buying a bilingual base package) so there is always potential for Logos sell me a new or upgraded base package - its up to me whether I simply hit delete or consider the offer.

The email account I use for Logos is used exclusively for Logos. If/when I want to see what they are selling, I open that account. If I am not in the mood, I use my other email.

I should have clarified that I did not mean the ones from the generic Logos email account, but the ones from actual sales persons. These are emails specifically targeted for people who have Logos 5 and still have not upgraded, which does not apply to me. I don't mind the general ones from Logos for sales on base packages.

Actually these are. They have the name of the salesperson on them and their contact information. I should have clarified in my initial message I was not referring to the general sales emails that come from Logos.
