Idea: Biblical history dataset

I have recently tagged a few resources "Big Picture" (mainly, "Exploring the Old and New Testament Collection") and added them to my passage guide with the idea that I could see where in the biblical story the passage falls and utilize some awesome resources (I am working in Nehemiah). So far it is pretty "hit and miss", but the idea of a data set that would "peg" the events into a broader picture AND have links to resources that give more info sounds helpful.
What do you think?

Tell me more. How would this differ from the timeline?
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I realize timeline does something similar but it does not utilize reference works that set the info in a larger storyline of the bible, it gives info regarding a singular event but does not bring the info into the passage guide where (at least in my work flow) it would show up.
Maybe a crazy idea (?)

Not crazy ... sort of an arrow as to where if falls in the economy of salvation sort of thing. I've seen several such schemes, obviously including The Great Adventure Bible Timeline. Is that the sort of thing you're envisioning as the larger storyline?

Yes, something along those lines. Esp to make use of resources "hiding away"in our library that can paint the "big picture" that we may not see at first glance....
