Logos4 - Resources missing, uncertain of completeness?!!

To who it may concern,

I have purchased the Upgrade Scholar's Library: Gold (ND) to

Scholar's Library: Portfolio (LE) [DVD].

When I received the delivery, there are two DVDs; one lablled

"installation", the other lablled "resources". According to the order

the 2nd DVD should contain all the base package and all the other

books that I've ordered (like pre-pubs). However I found that the 2nd

DVD (labelled "Resources") just contain installation programs, i.e.

same content as the 1st DVD labelled "Installation".

Apart from the issue mentioned in the email appended below, I have the

following additional questions/issues:

- There was a online download taken place after I installed the

content from the "Installation" disk, and the file size was 4.14G. But

according to your FAQ, the Portfolio base package should be 8G, so I

am not sure if I have got what should be getting.

- Also again to your FAQ, I should also be getting all my purchased

books but when I search one "Exegetical Summaries Series", it doesn't

seem to be there in my library!

Thus I'm not sure if I have been given all the content/books that I

have acquired under the Logos4 Portfolio base package and all the

books I've purchased so far.

Please advice what I should do next, and how I can get back the "Resources" disk that I should have in the 1st place.

Sadly, this sound like an issue you would have to call support to get taken care of. It sounds like they accidentally gave you two of the same disk - an easy mistake to make. Have spot checked to see if any of the Portfolio only resources listed are installed? You could just randomly check a number of resources and that might help. Also, if you do an "update now" in your command bar it should find all the resources you are licensed to own and if they are not there download them. I think it is update now. Of you could look in the logos FTP site and download them all and then in the command bar type Scan followed by the path to the folder where you downloaded all the files. It will find all the files you have a license to and import them into the right place - I think.

Unless for some reason you don't want to have your resources downloaded, there is really no need for the DVDs at all. Once you install the Logos 4 software and sign in to the Logos server, the program will sync up with the Logos server and attempt to download all the resources you should have.

Now it sounds like it did not accomplish that on the first download as you have reported a missing resource series. The first thing to do after you have verified this is to try to force Logos to find and download the missing resources. Type 'Update Resources' in the Command Bar, hit Enter and you should soon see a message up near the URH corner telling you that Logos 4 is checking for updates. This process can take some time so be patient. If resources are found, you'll see a message pop-up in the LRH corner informing you and downloading should begin. Hovering you mouse over the blue Logos 4 icon in your system tray should keep you appraised of the download progress. After download is complete you should get a message that resources are ready to install just as you did before.
