Missing Collection In Study Guide

I created a collection of resources (Joni Eareckson Tada) and added it to the customized study guide in my layout but it doesn't appear. I cannot figure out why. It has never happened before. Is this possibly a glitch or did I accidently do something to cause the collection to be hidden? Has anyone else encountered this problem?

For these resources, what is displayed under the heading of Type in your Library?
What guide were you expecting them to appear in (Passage Guide, Topic Guide)?

Hi Dave. Do you mean the ' Template type '? I have that set for ' Bible reference.' The guide I am using is a customized Topic Guide in a layout which I have been using exclusively for a few years now without any problems. The resources in question were included in the Joni Eareckson Bundle which I purchased from Vyrso three days ago. After they were shipped to me I created a collection for her resources and I then added that collection to the study guide (Edit guide template), closed the edited template and restarted Logos as I usually do after I make changes; but upon restarting and reopening the layout it did not appear at all in the guide. Apparently one of the resources in the bundle did not ship with the other ones in the bundle on that day I bought it and only arrived today with some other unrelated resources which I purchased today. So I added the late arrival to the collection as well. I thought the missing resource may have been the problem but it isn't. The collection still doesn't appear in the guide. I have tried refreshing the guide but that doesn't solve my problem. I have removed the collection from the guide, restarted Logos and edited the template again by adding again the said collection but that doesn't work either. Thanks for your help, Dave.

Are you possibly bringing up a saved guide? They will not be updated with the new collection unless you add the collection manually. Try running you Guide on a Topic that you've not run before and report what happens.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

That Template Type effectively turns it into a Passage Guide, so it will be looking for matching bible references in the books of your collection. That shouldn't be difficult to get results unless you are using saved guides as Martha describes. Do you input Bible passages into your "Topic Guide"?
A normal Topic Guide will have Template type set to "Topic" and getting results in your collection will be less certain, but still subject to the "saved guide" issue. That was why I was asking for the resource Type in Library.

That may have been the problem, MJ. The collection is there now. I clicked on the drop-down ' Add ' menu (the first time I have ever used it) on the upper right-hand side of the guide and then clicked ' Collections ' and it updated the guide. I seemed to have lost the section notes I had previously entered in the guide though. I have always added collections to the guide by opening the ' Edit template ' window, editing the template by adding the new collection, closing that window, restarting Logos and then reopening the layout. The new collections always have then appeared in the guide. This was the first that it did not. All is well now. Thank you, MJ.

It is a Passage Guide, Dave. I erred in referring to it as a ' Topic Guide.' Sorry for the confusion.
