I am reading a book in Logos 4.I want the multiple veses to export them to Word decumnet,Logos 3 has a tool auto-look up,but Logos 4 has'nt,for this reason the book which I am reading is in Logos 4:Is there any possibility to unlock it in Logos 3.
Tes:
As I understand it, if you synchronize your licenses in L3, the new book's license will be imported into L3. You can then FTP it into L3 resource folder. If you do not know the file name, I never do, you can open up the INFO window of the book in L4 to find it. Also, if the book is part of a Base Package, you can go to
http://www.logos.com/L4/support/Logos4Resources
and download the entire package into L3.
Blessings,
Floyd

Well,I couldn't undrstand it,is there any way simpler?
God bless you!

In Logos 3 were you using verse lists? or copy Bible verses? Or were you using smart tags?If you still have L3 you can, of course, simply use it. In L4 I'm running the beta which has the copy Bible verses so it's coming soon. Verse lists are due this quarter of 2010. Smart tags are being downplayed by Microsoft so are not (yet?) a L4 feature.
I n Logos 3 for eg in the new treasury of sicripure
I klick simply right mouse ,then Auto-lookup shows up
Auto-lookup apprears on the left side ,then I klick exportresults to ,then I copy the list of verses ,by this I could coply all theverses in Word, after that I was able to replace the names of the verses in Englishto Amhaic ,I was enjoying this ,but this is now complicated in Logos 4.It onlythe verses don’t cme . Well I hope the Amharic bible is going to be added in tothe Logos format, and I will not need this all this. But now I studying theRomans and I have avery good book Romans according to Paul .I want to paste some fo the verses to the Word decument ,this isfor now a lot of work.
Auto-lookup apprears on the left side ,then I klick exportresults to ,then I copy the list of verses ,
This uses the verse list feature which is not in the current version but it is supposed to be available in the next 3-6 months. In the meantime, it is a lot of work.
Thank you, Floyd.
I am sorry I missed you post from yesterday where you were asking for further help. Did you finally figure out my original response or do you need further help?

Thank you Floyd,I have my question answered,I am very glad, now I could manage the book to read it in Logos 3.I could use the auto-lookup ,it's great.
Tes,
you could open a power-lookup window and highlight the references, then hit the copy button on the power lookup window...(if you wanted to paste to another application)
The easiest and the best way ,I have downloaded the book from Logos 4 to Logos 3 and I was able to use the Look-up comfortably,After I have exported the verses ,then I have to change the name of the verses into Amharic, the transilation of the bible I use.I think this is now good as a temporary solutution, until Logos will do something about it .
you could open a power-lookup window and highlight the references, then hit the copy button on the power lookup window.
Thank you, this provide a means for me to handle a slightly different issue.
"if you synchronize your licenses in L3, the new book's license will be imported into L3."
That doesn't seem to have worked for me.

Did you download the books after importing the licenses?

Hi,Floyd, I closed logos 3 ,I followed the following link, I tried to down load all the books ,I think the size is about 27 DG,but after following the link below ,I chose the book I wanted and ,after that with out doing nothing it appeared in logos 3,(I did n't touch my licenese) I have the Logos 4 Platinum ,what makes difference is one has to choose which version he has.

I have forgotten something. I was not able to download all the books into Logos 3,I have tried this in both computers ,you can choose certain books at a time and you have to repeat it again for another books.
There are four or five books that will not download using the script you indicated. You can use the FTP site (ftp.logos.com) to get the individual books. However, if you are using the script, the download will stop each time it hits one of the problem books. Then restarting, without choosing the books that fail, will get all of the books except for those that failed. I posted on another thread about this same problem:

Thank you Floyd,
