I cannot get the log file to compress and then upload to this post as instructed in the help either. The black screen problem renders the Logos 5 unusable. I am running Windows 7.

Iain, you might try upgrading to the free Logos 6 engine and see if that helps. You can download it here: https://www.logos.com/install
