Would a project to translate all of these volumes, or at least the ones not currently in English otherwise, ever be possible?
Info on the set.
PDF's of each volume.
iPad App.
I'd love to see this too. Perhaps if more interest was shown in this amazing and ambitious project:
https://www.logos.com/product/30949/the-sermons-and-lectures-of-john-calvin-in-english
or even these:
https://www.logos.com/product/54172/institutes-of-the-christian-religion-1536-and-1541
there might be a greater possibility of it happening.
At the risk of hijacking the thread (!) it would be great if more people could pre-order the sermons. The product page includes this promise -
"The following list of sermons includes only those works that are previously untranslated, and have so far only been accessible to specialists in the field. Other sermons of John Calvin—including his famous sermons on Genesis, Acts, and the Ten Commandments—will be included, but we have not yet determined whether they need re-translating or whether existing translations are adequate. This product will include all of John Calvin’s surviving sermons, even those not listed below. Keep checking back—we’ll update this page as more details become available."
I notice that for some reason this collection of sermons
does not come up on the John Calvin (author) page when you do a search.
https://www.logos.com/products/search?q=John+Calvin&Author=8459%7cJohn+Calvin&redirecttoauthor=true&start=60&sort=newest&pageSize=60
Could this be fixed? It will never reach production if it doesn't even appear there. Is this one for Phil Gons to look into?
