Under the collections section I wanted to add a new collection string. However I dont know where to find this info in my program.

Open your library and make sure there is nothing in the search box. The number in light gray is your library size. See this link - http://wiki.logos.com/Library#How_many_books_do_I_have_in_my_Library.3f.
