TIP of the day: Add Collection or Commentary; Search milestone or reference

Yes, the heading correctly implies that the two issues are the same issue ...

1. Create a test collection that includes both Bible Commentaries and Monographs on the same reference. Side tip: I've appended an abbreviated series name to titles that are duplicated in my library so I can know which resource is referenced in list.

2. Note that I have a mix - books that are indexed by Bible and books that are not.

3. Then set up two Passage Guide sections - one a Commentary, the other a Collection. Use the settings option to point them to use just the test collection.

4. Not only are the formats of the Commentaries and Collections sections different, the results are dramatically different - 4 resources in Commentaries; 23 resources in Collections.

5.The difference is that the Commentary section runs the equivalent of a Milestone search (i.e. where the passage is the subject of the text) while the Collections section runs the equivalent of a datatype search (i.e. wherever the passage is mentioned). The evidence is in the matching searches shown below.
