I wondered why you picked this keyboard combination. I explored a bit and realized that, while the Windows Logos has the keyboard shortcut for a New Tab (CTRL-T), the Mac Logos does not (CMD-T does nothing).
That aside, I love the idea of being able to undo a closed tab with a keyboard shortcut like the one you suggest, or even CTRL/CMD-Z.

It's been on our list for a long time. I'll check in to see how long it would take to add this.
This was added to 7.8 (7.8.0.0031)
In my opinion, this is a long needed feature and I am grateful to see it!
