Where is Institutes of the Christian Religion Volume III?

Yesterday I received Institutes of the Christian Religion Volumes I and II, but not III. The product page says it is out - did something fail in licenses, or is it not ready even though the product page says it is?

In my library this resource is one resource. It is then tagged with volume/page numbers of the print edition. Eg. volume 1, page 1, volume 2, page 1, and Volume 3, page 5. Grated, I usually am more interested in CICR datatype than volume/page for this, but it is there.

As for the tagging, all 3 editions of the Institute that I have are tagged as Systematic Theology on my system.

Thanks Ken - I suspect you have an older Logos version, there have been 2 or 3 versions from what I can tell. This newest version is translated by Emanuel Gerhart, and he will show as author. The other versions have Calvin as author. Do you have the Gerhart resources?

I have the OLD Logos Beveridge from some base packages, the purer Beveridge that you linked (and so I did logosres links) and the Battles, which is the one I actually use now. So, no, I don't have the Gerhart.

Looking around the Logos web page I see https://www.logos.com/product/25778/theological-works-of-emanuel-vogel-gerhart . It looks like it is not a translation of Calvin but rather his work, and is 2 volumes. There was a 3rd volume in the collection - an introduction to Philosophy. Is this what you are talking about?

Does anyone from Faithlife check this? I emailed customer service and said I already had volume 3 (which was a resource I have from 2014) - even though I pointed out that was authored by Calvin this is authored by Gerhart. Silence since.

What do I have to do to get a resolution on a resource paid for but not delivered? It could be as simple as that resource has not released yet (even though the resource shows as shipped).

Why is it so hard to get response...

I have two translations of the Institutes in my Library. One is the one you are referring to by HENRY BEVERIDGE and is listed as being 3 volumes on the title page, though the table of contents divides it into 4 volumes.

I have a second version by FORD LEWIS BATTLES. This version is stated as being in 2 volumes on the title page, but the contents are divided into the same 4 books as the Beveridge version. Both seem to have the exact same content and even end with the same chapter so I would guess that the volume numbers are somewhat arbitrary and that this is indeed the complete work, though someone who is more familiar with this may shed more light.

The Institutes of the Christian Religion downloaded a couple days ago are by Gerhart and have only 2 volumes. You probably bought them in the Systematic Theologies Collection or the Feature Expansion: Master Collection.

As a quick update, I did a quick search for a version online and found that it matches both versions I have:

So unless I'm missing something, it does appear you have the complete text, just ignore the ambiguous volume names.

The Gerhart Institutes books are type Monograph. The 4 different translations of Calvin's Institutes are type Systematic Theology

Don--Are you sure the link you provided is the edition you purchased. This product is the Beveridge edition. It was originally three print volumes that we combined into a single digital version. We changed the resource type to Systematic Theology in November of 2015.

That product has three associated resources: Institutes Vol. 1, Institutes Vol. 2, and An Introduction to the Study of Philosophy: With an Outline Treatise on Logic.

Institutes Vol. 1 and 2 were incorrectly identified as a monograph. I have subsequently updated them.

I hope that helps clear things up. Please let me know if anything else is unclear.
