Feature request: Web clipper

I had an idea that I wanted to share for the Logos developers (I'm a user of Verbum).

EverNote and similar software have a "web clipper" add-on for various browsers which allow you to "clip" the content of web pages and file it away for later. It would be great if Logos had a similar feature, allowing one to clip entire webpages (new Papal documents, for instance) into your "Personal Books" or "Clippings" or anything else. Then Logos could automatically parse the document for Scripture references, Church Fathers references, etc. I do realize that one could save webpages to a text file and import them that way, but it would be much quicker and cleaner to have Logos do it directly.

Observation: a "web clipper" can already be used for copy and paste into docx file, which can be compiled into a "Personal Book" for use in Logos/Verbum/Noet. Adding "clip" content to an existing "Personal BooK" docx file can be followed by saving docx then using "Personal Books" Tool to "Build Book" (so content added/revise in docx file now appears).

Personal Book tool idea is showing which book(s) have a docx file, which was modified after last build. Possibly add an option to rebuild books with updated docx file(s).

I like Brian's idea. I quite often create notes from blogs like Bill Mounce's "Mondays with Mounce", Dan Wallace's blog and other theological blogs, and link the note to a passage or verse. This is a slightly tortuous process, as I have to copy the URL, create a note, put some explanatory text, and paste in the URL. If I were able simply to clip it and enter a verse or passage as an attachment point, it would make this process a whole lot easier. I did look at trying to do this with Applescript some time ago, but none of the objects in Logos/Verbum appear to be exposed to Applescript to enable this.

I think this has some mileage, Brian, and it might be worth creating a Uservoice suggestion - I'd certainly give it three of my votes.

I would actually like this. Some of my clipping files include best of quotes (or a compilation of my research) on a specific topic or text. Some of these findings are not in Logos but online. It would be nice be able to clip some web stuff.

The "add clipping" button seems like it would allow this to be at least manually entered, but on my system the button is greyed out.

This would be a great addition to Logos! I use an extension to for OneNote to do this, but would love to have Logos clip a web article and import it into Logos so that when I do a search my clipped articles would also be found.

I like this idea. Can you copy a "screen shot" and paste it into a Logos note? I've never tried….

I don't know about copying but you can upload images into your notes.
