I have a few issues using a trackpad with Logos. I'm using the 2015 Macbook, 12" model, but assume the problems apply across most MacBooks and presumably a good number of Windows laptops too.
Two months in to using Logos, I still forget what I can scroll, what I need to drag around and how to zoom in for a few seconds each time I open a media resource, because Logos is inconsistent with most Mac apps.
Personally, my ideal interaction would be as follows:
- zooming in/out should be accomplished by pinching or spreading two fingers
- scrolling up/down/left/right should be accomplished by moving two fingers around on the trackpad - scrolling up/down through a text resource works this way, but if you want to go up or down while zoomed in on an image or map, the interaction style changes to tapping and dragging.
- it should be possible to swipe pages - the scrolling speed is too sensitive for trackpad use (I'm guessing the sensitivity was designed for a mouse wheel), so I often scroll through 6-8 pages at a time.
I could take or leave point 3 - I think the scrolling we have now is worse than having no control, mouse-wise, but whether its improved by lowering sensitivity for this function or adding swipe support is up for grabs.
