re-install under new user account in Windows 7

Just wondering if this was necessary-

I believe I had a corrupted user account(profile) in Windows 7 - 64 for certain reasons. So, I created a new account and most of my apps remained intact or required only re-entering of licensing info. to work under the new account. However, Logos could not be located as being installed. So, I re-installed it under the new account including the 9.8 GB resource download... Seems to be working fine.

So, 2 questions...

1. Was this necessary? Was there an easier way?

2. Am I safe to uninstall under the old user account?

I'm not sure which "this" you are asking about.

You did it the EASIEST way, but perhaps not the BEST way. The "easiest" thing to do is to download the engine and allow everything to redownload. Perhaps a better option, not to mention faster, would be to use the scan method. See "method 3."

It might not hurt to keep it a round a bit, but if you are sure you grabbed everything, you should be fine. In terms of Logos, the only thing you might want to concern yourself with is personal books (both the .docx and compiled files).

The "this" was item one... Did I really need to re-install? I guess that answer is "yes".

Didn't think of the scan method. I did think of copying my resources over and then, I might have bumped into the scan method..

After uninstalling Logos and other per-user programs you should delete the old user account from Control Panel >> User Accounts, including its data.
