TIP of the day: Use of equivalent references and events.

1. In my library a Search for <Event Creation> yields 4 resources; for <Topic Creation> 10 resources; for <PreachingTheme Creation> 18 resources.

2. If I want to see a combined result of all three searches above, I simply select the global option "match equivalent references."

3. This results in a combined list of 30 resources i.e. the sum of the indiidual searches with duplicate resources dropped from the count.

4. Events have no explicit merge mechanism. However, it appears that the hierarchy is observed e.g. a search on creation will include the results for "God creates the heavens and the earth", "God creates man", and "God creates woman" plus anything tagged only at the higher term itself ... at least I can find no counter case

5. Here is the example of Creation described above.

6. Following the example up one more level.
