Windows Error Message "The installation of Logos Bible Software did not succeed".

I upgraded to Logos 6 about this time last year and have not had any problem until I upgrading to Windows 10 several months back. I started getting this message "The installation of Logos Bible Software did not succeed". It is a separate pop-up box that appears, but it seems that Logos is running just fine. I have tried several things but cannot get this error box to stop appearing. I am assuming there is something wrong. Can someone please tell me how to fix this problem? I am attaching the Logos Log Files to this post that

From the logs you posted it looks like a folder permission problem.

You have the following in the log:

Info 1310. Error writing to file: C:\Users\Greg Smith\AppData\Local\Logos4\es-MX\logos.exe.mui. System error 0. Verify that you have access to that directory.

Thanks Graham for the quick reply. Unfortunately, I have followed the instructions on the link and to get the correct permissions and the error is still appearing. If you have any other ideas that would be great. Thanks. Greg

There is a major update to Windows 10 (for version 1511) that you should install --> go to Start > Settings >> Update & Security. Then try the update to Logos using this link.

Dave, I checked and you were right. My Win 10 ver 1511 had failed to install. I have to figure that reason out and then I proceeded to re-install Logos. It was a little tricky too, but I managed to get it to run. I waited a while to write you back just to make sure that it's still working correctly. Logos launches and the error message not longer appears, but now it doesn't appear I am getting any updates at all from Logos. It may be that there are none right now, but in the past it seemed like every time I launched Logos, there were updates. Any suggestions, or do you think all is well. Thanks! Greg

If there are any resource updates then the command update resources (in the Command box) will show you.

Thanks for everyone's help, but I am back to getting the original error message "The installation of Logos Bible Software did not succeed". Logos updates will not install. I have tried all that is mentioned here and my only guess is that there is some crazy administrative right that I cannot seem to get turned on after numerous tries. I am about ready to give up on Logos and Window 10 as this is time consuming and frustrating! In case anyone thinks I am "computer challenged", that's not true. I used to hold Microsoft certifications (MCP) and worked with servers. (I prefer Mac's now:) Greg

Try the steps in https://www.logos.com/support/logos5/windows/error-writing-to-file The procedure "run as admin" should work but it is best to attempt to fix ownership first.

Check out the procedures on this page(https://www.logos.com/support/logos6/windows/installation-did-not-succeed), and particularly Solution 2. Once you have located the logos installer file, open a cmd window using administrator privileges. Then navigate to the installer file and type in the name of your installer .exe. I was able to install the update in Windows 10 using this procedure.
