Finding a word in a note

Greetings all, I am trying to highlight or find an individual word in a note, created in a note file. Both 'find in this panel', as well as the 'everything search' returns the note files where the word occurs, but fails to find the exact word by highlighting it. Resources highlight just fine with these searches, but my individual note files do not. What am I missing?

Graham, thank you for a quick reply. I have been using Logos for two years now and find this limitation surprising. Control F in a PDF hops nicely to every occurrence of a searched word, highlighting as it goes. I was expecting this. I thought I was not smart enough to discover this hidden feature in Logos.

It only find the note - not the location within the note

Hi George, thanks for your input. The basic search tabbed "everything" does find the specific note with in the note file, but does not bring me to the specific word within the note. One of my note files may have over five hundred words. Logos searches narrow it down to the note file, but then there may be five hundred or more words to sift through to find the exact one I am looking for. When a resource is searched in Logos, the searched word is highlighted and becomes easy to spot. Logos apparently does not search a note nested in a note file. It seems to be limited to finding the nested note, not the exact word in the nested note.

So if I have written stuff about "salvation" with in a note, nested in a note file, and want to write more about "salvation", I would like to find what I have already said by finding the exact word "salvation".

It seems complicated to relate my problem, but I think Graham is correct, I am looking for a feature Logos does not perform. But these seems odd since Logos is such a capable format.

Anyway, very cool others take interest in my troubles with Logos. Thanks for the input!

True, but if you look at the search results, it does give you some context highlighting the search term. This should make it somewhat easier to locate you desired term.

Replicated note search limitation. Copying nested note(s) to personal book(s) allows search to find the exact word. Personal book can have tagging added for more integration.
